WHAT WE DO:

African Drumming Co. provides interactive, fun, learning experiences for school children aged 6 – 16, through the power of music, storytelling and teamwork.  

 ADC is an in-house field trip that comes to you, is customized for different ages, and is built with children at the center. 

Our unique approach uses the power of interactive drumming, combined with music, language, storytelling and dance to fully immerse the students and bridge the gap between students and their peers (and their teachers)   

The African Drumming Co. arrive at your school on the morning of your event. (No need to transport children and/or staff to and from a location.)

Each Child is given a laptop cajon drum and are taught simple beats, developed throughout the performance, which we use to play along with the music and compliment the story.  

We have created an interactive drumming story that places the children in the middle of a monkey's courageous journey to overcome being different. 

 We don't call ourselves a team building company, because we don't force anyone to work with anyone else. We don't do "trust fall" type games, or single out any individual.

We create an environment where people are naturally drawn to work together. 

Within the first few minutes, using simple patterns, call and response games and an incredible soundtrack, we WILL have everyone playing their drum comfortably within the group. 

Playing along to the music you know and love, makes you feel like you're part of the songs you love.

As we move through the program, using different styles of music, the group learns a number of new drumming techniques. Each new drumming technique brings with it a difficulty level, which will challenge each participant to be just a little more intentional, and listen just a little more carefully to the other members of the group.
