Who is Kay Oliver-Faragher ?

Some Background

African Drumming Co. founder, Kay is a singer, writer, producer, teacher, and multi-instrumentalist. He is a seasoned performer in bands, theater and live television. Most importantly, he's a dad, and has seen first hand the impact music has had on his daughter. With her in mind, he designed this program for the enjoyment of children of all ages, personalities, backgrounds and social levels.

Kay previously lead/ ran the Sub-saharan African ‘Brother’s in Beat, based out of Johannesburg South Africa. He is the creator and lead performer of their massively successful *Jungle Beats Interactive Drumming programme, the first interactive drumming performance that included drumming, storytelling and music focused specifically on schools. He also performed the corporate team building ‘Be a rockstar’ show.

Kay has now created an exciting, immersive, musical adventure story specifically designed around the key concepts of teamwork, inclusivity and fun. Bringing with him the fun and exuberance of traditional African drumming, language and storytelling, the groups (children & teachers alike) will also learn traditional African history/ culture and phrases and use them throughout the performance.
